ABOUT JERRY
Jerry Tucker has a reputation as a driver that is willing to race anything with wheels, and not just on the drag strip. He’s spent the last three decades racing everything from Sprint cars to Midgets to an array of entries in the NHRA Sportsman categories.
Just shy of 50, the lifelong Lindsay, Okla. resident didn’t throw his hat into the professional ranks until 2023. Tucker, who is a childhood friend of team owner Richard Freeman, earned his Pro Stock license in January of 2023 and began his rookie campaign at the season opening Gatornationals where he qualified 15th and picked up his first round win against teammate Erica Enders.
Tucker would finish the season having qualified for all 18 Pro Stock events, with his best position being the No. 4 spot at the Texas FallNationals. He raced to a semifinal appearance in Chicago and picked up three more quarterfinal finishes in addition to Gainesville in Charlotte for the Four Wide, Norwalk, and Denver. Tucker would close out the season 13th in the NHRA Pro Stock points standings.
Tucker has been married to his wife, Valerie, for 24 years. They have two sons together, Seth, 21, and Gage, 18. The Tucker’s have owned and operated Jerry Tucker Roustabout specializing in oilfield maintenance and construction for 15 years. They’ve recently added a new company, Jerry Tucker Cementing which specializes in concrete production and delivery.
